Hasland Junior School reported a bumper crop after their first growing season in their new school garden.

Food for life

It was a fantastic first growing season at Hasland School as pupils, parents and staff became engrossed in a whole series of projects in their new school garden.  A new greenhouse and potting shed meant that the young growers could get an early start to the season, and raised planting beds were used to produce a whole range of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The woodland garden has proved a success too with establishment of woodland wild flower grassland, bird boxes and use of equipment for music and activity play.
