Brookfield School is delighted with the success of it's new 3G synthetic sport pitch, providing new school and community sport facilities and setting new standards for sport in the area.

Third Generation 3G pitch

The new full sized football pitch has a (Third Generation) 3G synthetic sport turf with rubber crumb surface which can be maintained to give excellent playing performance throughout the year whatever the weather. The pitch has perimeter ball fencing, sub-surface drainage, and floodlighting to allow evening play. The pitch can even be divided into thirds to allow three separate games of Small-Sided Football or Mini-Soccer.

FIFA Quality Concept

The main construction work was completed last year followed by perimeter planting to site boundaries to screen sensitive views. The pitch was allowed to 'bed-in' and settle down before final performance testing this summer, and completion of planting maintenance this December. The pitch was tested and approved to FIFA Quality Concept for Football Turf – 1 Star.

Bookings and availability

The pitch is very popular with local community soccer teams around Chesterfield, Derbyshire, but can be booked for evening and weekend use when slots are available.
